Flying Buttresses are Deviant and Sebi C..

Deviant is mildly well known for playing obnoxious rap music and skratching in venues all over Ireland. He is a founder member of the Community Skratch collective and turntable bands Vince Mack Mahon and Grandeurs of Delusion. He sometimes teaches people about skratching and hip-hop culture too. He recently did the cuts for Costello's 'Illosophical' LP and released an EP conceived and created in 48 hours with Cork rapper Spekulativ Fiktion. He writes these press things and he's increasingly worried about referring to himself in the third person

Sebi C is a rapper. He's been doing this for quite some time although recorded material has been relatively scarce. He has an improvised approach to his rapping. It's not freestyling as such, the lyrics are written, but the flows are left open to interpretation and change with every performance. He also has a hand in the production playing random instruments and gadgets.

They'll be releasing their "Orson Wells" EP around the time they are playing with us. Deviant will also be djing with Hobo regulars Harvey, Red Flagg and JusMe throughout the day. Of course there will be plenty of vinyl for sale for all those stubborn people that still buy those things, and other sellers are always welcome.

    Sunday, Oct 14th.
