Can't remember whether a 95 corolla has an immobiliser or not.. I'm thinking it doesn't.

If not then its very easy. Get key code from dealer and get key cut.

no immobiliser I'd say. How much would it b roughly

€20 tops I'd say. Dealer gives you code, you give code to locksmiths, they cut key from a blank.

Dealer can confirm if you have immobiliser.

Do you remember if the old key had a big chunky end on it, or if it just had a thin plastic layer over it?

    thin plastic end

Bit like the one the right?

Piece of cake so. You'll need to bring registration cert to dealers to get code

If the key looks like this then its not immobilized:

OP which the age of the barrel and the use it's gotten I'm pretty sure any Toyota key would open/start it.

Well this is my key for my '97 Corolla and she is definitely not immobilized.

got it sorted anyway without damaging my cutlery. rang up toyota dealers and they were able to cut me a key based on my reg. posting it out to me tomorrow. 15 quid was the damage so not too bad. thanks for all the replies
