Of 2 dogs and the eating of an entire batch of freshly baked scones!!

Made some lovely (well they looked lovely) buttermilk scones this morning, left them out on the oven hob to cool, went out for 30 mins, came home to a completely empty baking tray (still in its place on the oven hob) and 2 slightly (but only slightly) sheepish looking dogs. Little fockers.

So now I await the results of younger one who has a sensitive tummy and is on a bland food for a couple of days, I expect to be cleaning up regurgitated scones at some point this afternoon...!!

I know how you feel, my daughter came home from the ploughing match with loads of freebies and some doughnuts(which she bought).
She dropped her bag on the kitchen floor and went upstairs for a couple of mins, only to find the dogs had raided the bag!
Guess what they ate....not the free stuff, just the dollys doughnuts!

Daughter wasn't happy, but the dogs didn't seem to have any ill effects.

I long ago learned to put food away to cool, in microwave, or oven with door open, my cats love lasagna (ginger one in particular;)), stew, casseroles of all sorts and even shepherds pie!

Dogs have stolen from oven sweet potato chews I baked them, brown bread, roast carrots, tray of buns, and much more.
They also like frozen broccoli, donegal catch and other frozen fish, and peas. Usually stolen and eaten in my bed while I unpack the shopping!

My process of elimination tells me it was more than likely just the younger one, the older one has a bad back leg and can't jump up at all and since the baking tray was still in exactly the same place she obviously jumped up and took them one by one, I doubt she shared with the older one, honestly I had to laugh, I never normally leave food out so that'll teach me!! Not even a single crumb left!!
