    Hi,

    ~Sorry for the long post.

I lent my nephew my phone (2 years ago). With his friend, they were browsing, and went to Facebook. His friend had a facebook account, which he couldn't log in to.
AFAIK, his older brother/father/uncle/aunt/sister etc.. set up his account using their own email address, so he used my phone to reset his password.

Now with IOS6 after integrating FB, or whatever they did,
when people ring me, or if i ring them, there is a picture of a cartoon cat, and the name of the account holder.

I asked my nephew to contact his friend, he did, and asked him to disassociate my number with his account. I was told he hasn't used that account since then, and i could login and do it myself.

I had to reset the password again, and using my phone, they sent me a code. I logged in, made everything private, changed the name, picture (To nothing) but cannot find where to change/delete the phone number. I deactivated the account.

Anyway, the number, original name, original picture and account, are all still linked together.. It's been a week, a friend of mine has since bought an iPhone 5, and it's STILL associated.

Can anyone help? I've emailed FB and the only response i have got was an automated one, asking me to link the number with MY facebook account, I don't have one, nor want one. Is there somebody somewhere else i can contact?

I might be a bit late jumping in here...

When it comes to FaceBook, customer service is quite possibly the sloweslt you will get so my suggestion would be to do this..

Create an account on Facebook and do what you need to do.

What you need to do next is log out of facebook everywhere, clean all cookies and sessions from your browser and restart your browser (just to be sure to be sure).

Then open your browser, make sure only one window/tab is open and log into facebook.

Now close your account... The tricky bit here is you have to stay away from Facebook and anything facebook related for 2 weeks or your account will never fully deactivate.

The whole thing is a pain in the ass, but its the only way I can think to do it if you don't want to have any facebook account at the end of it.

I hope I was some sort of help... if not more confusing! lol
