    That box will just get you the channels but won't be compatible with any other features like MHEG5 etc.

    It's poor value when you can get a saorview approved box in Powercity, Argos, etc for about €50, same as this one with the postage .

    The first 2 items listed here would do the job of receiving the Saorview channels & the standard def. Freeview. No MHEG5 "digital" text.

    You would get more/better channels if you get a FreeVIEW HD box. The HD version of the freeview box will get every channel possible. This is better for border areas. You may need to go to NI to get one.

    The i-Can Easy HD 2851T Freeview HD box is available in Maplin stores in the ROI for €45.99. I bought one in their Dundalk store last week and it's a decent little box for the money.
