Years ago I worked at Microsoft but I was actually employed by a recruitment agency. Similarly I used to work for Eircom but was employed by an agency. Same when I worked at Oracle.

It's possible you are in a similar situation.

Sorry to burst your bubble but there is no way you would have got the job without an interview. Providing a recruitment agency with bank details, PPS and proof of skills is standard procedure. If they have any temp assignments for you they will be responsible for paying you, not the place where you are temping. So they need your bank details and PPS to get you set up on the system. They also need proof of your eligibility to work such as a passport or GNIB card etc. They will also want proof of certs as they are not just going to take your word for it that you can do such-and-such.

Then they will have a chat with you, get an idea of you. After that they might wish to send your CV forward for available positions or employ you as a temp. If your CV is sent out and a company expresses an interest in you, you will still have to do an interview. Being with a recruitment agency does not mean you don't have to interview - they are simply acting as an introducer for you to the company. Even for some temp roles you will be required to interview for them.

As I say this is all standard practice, nothing unusual in it, but unfortunately asking for this info does not mean that you have automatically got the job based on your CV.
