Mature Student 2013 quries

Hey everyone I have a few questions regarding applying as a mature student for year 2013.

I am originally from the UK but have been working in Ireland for 2 years, does this have any effect on having assistance granted by the Irish government regarding fees?.

I a interested in mental heath nursing, yet my A-levels don't particularly compliment this area as I did not take Biology/Math/Chemistry etc. Is there anything I could do to enhance my chance of success? (I do partake in full time shift work so am somewhat hindered in quite a few ways)

I have heard that education fees are free if over 23 which I am, however am not sure if I am entitled to this or just how much money I need saved in advanced to consider furthering my education in a totally new and fresh field.

    Thanks for your time. :)
