Loading Bay

    Are you allowed to park in a loading bay and if so do you have to pay a parking fee if you are within the stated hours? I always thought that you could but you only had the 30 mins (or whatever is stated) and that you didnt have to pay the on street parking fee.

    Don't have to pay parking fee but you have to be driving a goods vehicle. i.e. Commercially taxed. You can only stay for the indicated time.

    Must be taxed as a commercial vehicle and then it can park in the loading bay within the stated hours.

    If it's a commercial vehicle local bye-laws determine how long you can stay there, e.g. Dublin City Council allows 30 minutes, after that you run the risk of being clamped.
