    Hey guys ,

The dim lights on my almera are awful, a common problem with them I believe..im looking to fix for safety and with nct in mind next year .. I saw these on micksgarage -would these do the job ?
    The price seems reasonable?
Are these something I could fit myself?
What would be involved ? Wiring? etc -
Would I need any specialist tools?

    thanks

    They're just the job.

You just unlug the connectors on the back and remove the bolts I believe there is 3.

Google a DIY for it and im sure you will find plenty, should be one in the Almera owners club.

From what I can remember, there is one bolt at the top of the light, another under the light towards the centre (push down the bumper) and the third is a push in fitting behind the indicator.

You may have to swap over the headlight aiming motors. I had to when changing mine (about two years ago).

As an aside, I got the pair of them for €300 from my friendly Nissan dealer......

He means the new lights won't come with motors.

Why did Nissan not recall these cars for this obvious default/defect. Just ad to help a friend this week to change his headlamps as he failed the NCT.

This is one to watch out for if your buying a 04/05 Almera. Make sure the headlamp fittings have been replaced.
