    Hi,

I'm having problems of late when recoring on some channels. Nat Geo, History are 2 that are causig problems, there's probably more too.

If I'm watching a programme I can see it perfect no problems at all, however if I record also, when I try to play it back, the picture is pixelated and jumps and skips through the programme.

Anyone have any idea whats causing it or anything I can try.

    Cheers

We have had the same issues for about a week, if we go to anytime tv, normally you see a small preview top right hand corner of the screen of whatever is selected in the anytime menu, this preview is Blocky/Choppy all the time, trying to watch anything from anytime is the same, totally unwatchable

It is also happening when you record any program from most of channels, unwatchable, the same symptoms and jumping forward etc

I rang sky today who walked me through the process of checking input levels on line 1/2 and resetting the sky planner

Signal line 1 was good about 70% signal line 2 was about 45%, reset the sky planner, turned box off and on several times, seemed to have fixed the live recording but anytime had the same symptoms, they said they will ring tomorrow and walk us through upgrading the the software, after hanging up, the blocky/choppiness started again on the live recordings

We have the old white sky+ box its about 4 years old now, will see what tomorrow brings

I have the same problem, it seems to be affecting a good few people: http://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Picture-Sound/History-channel-recording-issue-picture-blocky-on-playback/td-p/602168
The problem is known to sky, what they are doing is another thing.
I hate missing Storage Wars and Ice Road Truckers.

I was just chatting to a person on the Sky Live Chat Help, who said that it should be "get sorted in 12 Hours".
    So good news, Hopefully.

Tried re booting and resetting sky planner etc. All to no avail!!

Signal levels are top class at both inputs, guess just have to wait for sky to fix this.

If anyones comes good, please let us know.

From lots of comments on the Sky website, the problem is solved and everything is now working. I haven't had a chance to check it myself, but fingers crossed. According to posters it started working in the early hours of this morning. People saying that programmes set to record from around 2am onwards all working perfectly.

Edit: Just Checked mine, seems to be back to normal. :)
