    Coming through Dunshaughlin today. Group of teenagers sitting on the wall near the community school. One cretin decided it would be funny to throw a half full drink can at me. Missed me but hit back wheel. Wasn't going that fast so managed to stay upright.

    Had plenty of shouting and smart comments when on the bike but first time a missile thrown.

    A crowd of them so couldn't be certain which one was culprit although I'm fairly sure. Not from there so didn't know them. I don't think there is a full local Garda station. Warned a cyclist coming in opposite direction to take care. Marked it down to the actions of one clown and kept going.

    smart feckers but it's just to dodgy these days to tackle the like of them .

    Reminds of me an incident I witnessed sone years ago where a couple of riders got into an altercation with some guys who produced golf clubs from the back of their van. The motorists were about to set about the riders when a group of 100 cyclists plus garda escort arrived on the scene.

    They put their clubs away and got back in their van & said no more.

    Safety in numbers.

    Dunshaughlin is a nice village. Good people. Just one gobs**** with 2 brain cells (or less..).

    Was cycling through Mulhuddart village this morning at about 9.30 and heard a noise ahead of me that was an empty beer bottle being kicked. Cycled up and saw a beer bottled spinning on the road at the pedestrian crossing and a bloke in his 60's walking away. I stopped at lights and put bottle on side of road and went on a bit and stopped to check a text I had got. Heard the noise again behind me and the old man was back and the bottle as spinning in the middle of road again!!

    Asked him what he was doing and he just mumbled something. Went back to remove the bottle but car came round the corner and drove over it.

    There are some weird feckers out there.
