Does anyone know if shimano cleats that came with Shimano SPD pedals would be compatible with Look Keo pedals that are approx 3 years old

    no

Ditto. I had Look Keos and changed my pedals to 105s but was curious so checked to see if the look cleats would clip into the pedals before I changed them. They don't.

Cheers for the info. What about the other way around. Can look keo cleats be used with shimano pedals?

    Cleats are not very expensive.

No. Theyre a different design/shape and so are not interchangeable. You can pick cleats up for less than €20.
