    Hi There,

My parents asked me if I could find this flooring as they want new extra pieces due to an extension.

    Please see the following photo:

I am located in Dublin and it would help a lot if someone knew some place in Dublin I could find this. Not even sure if it's still available to purchase.

    Thanks!

    Hi webmonkey
It's called parquet flooring and the colour is mahogany. Try Homebase or a local flooring company. Im not sure if it is still available. Check with your local flooring supplier or a builders merchants, they may be able to help you.

Webmaster - I know the type of parquet flooring you're after - It comes in squares, with the five thin blocks glued to flexible mesh. I think it was a 70's or 80's thing. Unlike the beautifull [ larger block] flooring shown in Joeys' link - the stuff that you have would have been massed produced. The design is a bit to 'busy' for today's trends....but I can see that it makes sense to continue with 'the same' providing that your existing parquet is in good condition [and your happy with the way it looks].
Shovelled quite a lot of it out of old house once...it kept me going in kindling for years!...[sorry].

Dunno if it helps but.. This is identical to what I installed in our old house in England..

B&Q used to sell this in the late 90's/early 00's in England.. It was a B&Q branded product and was Rhodesian Teak (not mahogany) parquet flooring.. As wayoutwest has said, it was small fingered blocks glueded onto black flexible cardboard. Used to get 3 sheets per pack covering about 1m sq.

No idea where you would get the exact same product today, but maybe tracking down via B&Q might be a start.. however they definately no longer stock this product.
