The lady I gave it to said to wait for correspondence by post as to whether I have been approved or not. I applied for the BTEA in early August and left in my letter of registration from the university over 3 weeks ago. The lady I gave it to said to wait for correspondence by post as to whether I have been approved or not.

However, I have heard nothing since and I am still collecting JSA and signing on etc. Is it normal to wait this long for confirmation of whether you will get the BTEA or not?

if you were asked to send in a letter confirming your registration then once you do you're approved, you'll probably get paid next week. But call up to be sure.
