    looking for wing mirror cover for renault megane silver 2000. Going to scrap yards they want to sell whole mirror ,just need cover for n c t Will pay fair price

    Don't know that you need the plastic cover for the nct.

    Wrap it in tape if you have to.

    Thanks for your reply ,just been told by my daughter she has traded in the megane ,for a nissan almera sport 1.5 .Reading some reports people are complaining about timing chain ,it has 73.000 miles she is collecting it on tuesday ,is there any way of telling if timing belt has stretched ,people are saying it can cost around €2000 to change timing chain .I would be grateful for any advice you can give her before she collects this car ,she has a 4 year child and i dont want them to come to any harm if timing chain goes on some motorway

    Usually i think you'll get an engine light as cam position will be off, if its on the way out, it'll rattle a lot too. I'd check that the headlights work as these are a common failure on these due to the bulb holders melting and deforming, or falling off completely.
