LCD on Seat gone

    Hi ,

    Does anyone know what could have caused my LCD on my Inca van to gradually gfade over the last year . it's full gone now ?

    Brian I'm afraid its a common problem with vw/audi/seat. Can you tell me what year the van is? More than likely you're looking at buying a new screen. Does it appear to be more faded in warm weather than cold?

    Can you confirm that it is a red lcd screen? Can you see anything at all on the screen anymore? If you can do find that the problem is worse during the warm weather?

    it is not a red lcd screen . it is 95% faded now and it doesn't seem to matter about hot or cold weather . the digits are barely visible / almost completely gone .

    I have just replaced the bulbs at the back of the LC dash and it was no different so i split the speedo and the lcd is a moulded into item , it looks like i'd have to replace the whole unit or live without my odometer and trip counter , i'll live without it .
