David Cameron on Letterman 26/09/2012

I was just wondering what people thought of David Cameron's performance on The Late Show with David Letterman the other night?

Cameron is getting a lot of abuse in some sections of the media for now knowing who wrote 'Rule Britannia' (a song Letterman erroneously describes as containing the lyric "Britannia rules the world") or the direct translation of the words 'Magna Carta'.

I know Letterman's show is not the most serious, but I find these criticisms rather silly. Frankly, I thought Cameron came across as amiable, intelligent and patient with Letterman's often ridiculous questions ("So Northern Ireland is part of England?" *facepalm*)

Cameron also discussed the differences between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and maintained that relationships between the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom were excellent these days.

Thought it was grand tbh, don't know what all the fuss is about.

He came across as really well too, very well spoken and honest. It surprised me just how big an applause he got when he said how politicians don't advertise themselves on TV.
