Can i connect Sky box to wifi

    Hope someone can help,

    Is there anyway i can connect my sky box to my broadband over wifi instead of by wire as my broadband is in a different room than sky box, want to be able to use anytime and recording and plus details from my iPad.

    No. Wired only. Moot as Anytime+ does not yet work in Ireland. No other service on the box right now requires broadband - regular Anytime included.

    If and when that time comes, you can use 'Powerline' to get connectivity to your Sky box.

    I don't follow your comment re: iPad....

    Sky Anytime will be available in ireland on 9th of Oct, i want to be able to change what im recording if i forget to record and im way, but each time i try to set up on ipad it tells me my boxs needs to be connected to broadband.

    Then Powerline is your man. My iPad and iPhone works for remote record without broadband connectivity. You need a fixed landline for that to work.

    I think he is more talking about the new functionality of the ipad app where you can use it as a remote control as such more then the remote record facility.

    But ye networking plugs are probably your best bet

    Sky are after telling me i will be able to buy something like this off them for 9.90 that will do it but cant find it on the Sky site

    Then Powerline is your man.

    I read somewhere that they cause horrendous radio interference from the mains wiring acting like a huge aerial.
