USB powered laptop fan for €19.99 in Harvey Norman.
I bought one on Monday and it's really good and makes no noise.
Sits on your lap or on table.

Why would you need a fan in this country full stop?

The €2 shop ones are noisy as flip in fairness, and are those small flexible type ones. The one in the OP sounds like it's got a stand, a bit like this. €20 is a bit steep though.

Without a link, photo or details... it sounds like a rip-off.

DealExtreme sell them for around $11.30 - $12.50 ( Note Dollars & no shipping fees )

    So half the price...

And Aldi or Lidl had them for around €6 a week or two ago if I recall...

In the first link, I have a two versions of this.
The first had a plastic fan and was practically silent.
I thought the metal fan would be an upgrade, but it is noisier.

sounds like a good deal.Im not sure you have taken into consideration that if you do decide to use this you will need to install a new cpu chip, update the bios, cmos, link up a scsi chain, purchase new graphics cards, network adapters etc etc...its easier said than done sounds like a good deal though just make sure you know what your doing..

Most of them are terrible tbh. I bought a coolermaster one for 25 euro after many previous cheap ones did not do the job for gaming. Coolermaster one is awesome and now my laptop doesn't crash from overheating whilst playing

I think the OP is talking about one of these?

For getting better air circulation to the laptop.

Yeah that's the one I have.
Sorry if it doesn't seem a bargain to you guys but I had asked people's advice on boards recently about purchasing a USB operated fan and they had said the noise-free ones can be expensive..i.e in €40-€60, so I figured €19.99 was a bargain.
Anyway, I'm happy with it and it's so quiet :o
