    Hi All

I have a problem with my 01 D4D Avensis that just won't go away, It looses power and wont rev past 3k from time to time,

Sometimes it will start to judder and clear and others it will just not rev at all no matter how hard you push the pedal.

It has been doing this for a few years on and off,

I got the code read and it is P1229 which sort of points at the SCV's on the pump.

I have taken them out and cleaned them a few times and sometimes it helps and others it doesnt

A mechanic I bring it to for jobs that I can't do is sure they are not at fault, last time we just took the fuel filter off and blew the line back into the tank and it was perfect for 6 months.

I wonder would it be a blockage in the tank.

I have 0 money to spend on it so I need to find the fault and fix it first time as I cant afford to change parts in the hope of finding the right one.

when it's going ok its grand, has all the power it should and not a drop of smoke out of her.

anyone have any ideas or know a Toyota expert than i could get to have a look at it,

I'm in Kildare, so Midlands/Dublin area ideally.

    Thanks
