a quick question someone may be able to help me with

I was off work between March 1st and May 1st this year. I got my sick cert from GP and sent it off and got my 188 euro in return no issue there. I kept the remaining sick certs and sent em off May 1st but never received any money. I sent em to the dublin address that was on the cert

anyone know where I should start trying to backtrack my money from, its a nice bit 188X9weeks

why did you wait so long to send the other 9 certs???? And now it is October and you are only just getting round to claiming for those 9 weeks??? madness

anyway, it is social welfare that you claim this from, so I would suggest asking a mod to move your post to the state benefits section. Sorry can't be of more help. I have only ever claimed whilst I was sick, sent my certs every week, and then got my final cert signed by my doc to say I was fit to return to work. I have no clue what the situation would be in claiming for sick leave from 7 months ago.

It's been a few years for me but I am pretty sure the cert says you need to send it in within a certain amount of time- a week maybe? I remember being annoyed that I couldn't save up some and had to get an envelope and stamp every week.

It's free post to send these cert's off.

OP give illness benefit a call in the morning ,they will tell you what the situation is.You really should have sent them in as you recieved them but they will usually be no problem getting the payments owed.

You have 7 days to send them in. Haven't a clue why you waited so long! It says the timeframe on back of cert and guidelines for late certs. Just read it....
