Fixing a crack on MacBook Air screen

I noticed a small crack on the screen of my 11" MacBook Air recently. There is no visible impact mark on the outside of the lid, and I don't recall any impacts or knocks.

Irrespective, the crack is there, so I rang Compu B to get a quotation on a repair. €500 quid odd just for the screen and then some change for labour.

I would have been prepared to spend a couple of hundred to repair it, as the MacBook is only 9 months old, and I'm planning to use it for a few more years yet. But that price is insane.

Does anyone have any suggestions for cheaper, reliable repair?
