Hi I have been getting a signal all be it a week signal when I plug my aerial into the back of the tv but when I bought a saorview box and plugged it all up the saorview boxand scan for channels is saying it cannot find any channels. Does this just mean that the box needs a stronger signal than the old tv?

You mean the tv was displaying "snowy" analogue pictures? What kind of aerial are you using (indoor, outdoor, wall outlet of unknown origin etc.)?

Thanks for the reply Ronnie.I got it sorted.I was using the tesco 50 euro box and was getting nothing so decided to get a Triax box and it worked no problem.

Maybe the Triax box works better with a borderline signal. Any small change that further weakens it will more than likely cause loss of reception.
