Item from US shipped from China

Apologies if this has been done to death! I ordered a MAC keyboard from an Ebay seller as below (price for item was in dollars).

    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/180932457185?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Item location was in US however as it hasnt turned up (shipped on 7th Sept) I get an email from the seller saying it was shipped from China! Im pretty sure hes not allowed to list the item as from the US if he's in China?

Thing is what do I do now?

    1. Report him to Ebay for listing item as in US?
    2. Do a chargeback via PayPal citing the reason above ie it hasnt arrived and shipped from China?

    Thanks for any advice here.

He can list it but he is telling porkie pies if he said the item was in the US.
    I'd complain to ebay.com.

Thanks Yes I think I will report him. The tracking number he sent me appears on a chinese postal tracking site and says it left Beijing on 9th Sept. Im assuming Customs will hold this now. Do they advise me if they do hold it?

You are aware that having it shipped from US or China will make no difference to customs in terms of slapping on taxes etc., right?

Also you appear to not have read the description properly, from the front page:
All USA shipping addresses will be shipped via US Postal service.

All International shipping addresses will be shipped via China Postal Service Airmail.
Sounds to me that they simply import the keyboards to US for the NA population and send from source for the rest of the world.

More worrying is the general feedback though; hope you don't expect it to be a original...

As Nody said the listing says it was to be shipped from China, so you can't report him to ebay. However you will have to wait until next week before you do anything as the delivery time has not yet passed.
If customs have it you will get a letter requesting the receipt so they can calculate the fees.
I would wait another week, then if not received open a Paypal dispute as goods not received.

Thanks for this, I assumed the item location as US would not mean it would ship from China. Noddy no it wasnt I was worried about paying VAT on it it was whether it will be stopped at customs or not. An item from China is more likely to be stopped. Caveat emptor, I should have read the description more closely! I'll just have to hope it arrives.
