Hall Floor - Which Direction

The attached is a world class architectural CAD drawing of my hall. :)

We are going to lay timber flooring but cant decide which direction to run it.
If we lay it left to right (as per the drawing) then the orientation will be different on each side of the hall door (the red bit).

    Anyone got any good ideas?

You could go "diagonal" off the corner where the widest part of the hallway is.
Lay/floor the entire hallway in a diagonal pattern, from end to end.

So the floor goes with you,as you walk out of the hall door (red part of photo)

It would make a for an unusual and nice feature too.

I,ll post a picture of a floor later on,to give you an idea.

    Edited to include picture.

Hope you get the idea and what Im saying.:)

Re-jigged your drawing to explain what I mean, with regards the lay of the flooring.

    Thanks Paddy,

That is one option we considered.

    Appreciate your time.
