Switching from AIB to Ulster bank...

    Hi guys,

So I've applied online to change from AIB to Ulster bank.
I opted for them to assist with closing my AIB account also.

What will be carried over? I don't have any DD's set up but I do have some cash in my current account (less than e2,000 :pac:).

Will all this be sent over to Ulster bank or do I need to withdraw everything before I potentially lose it?
Also, is the process painless and quick?

    Cheers.

Ulster bank will transfer everything to your new account.
If you had DD or standing orders, they recommend you choose a day thats quiet in the month for such transactions for transfering your account over.
If wages are paid in to your AIB account you'd need to inform your employer before change over occurs of your new account number.(ulster bank provides a form to give to payroll.)
As far as i know its can be done within a working week.
    Usually painless.
