landcruiser stereo

    hi guys i have a toyota landcruiser 1998 series 90 and have a factory kenwood stereo with tape deck i need to replace. any idea how to remove doesnt seem to be any holes to put a memoval tool in or anything . any help greatly appreciated

    Remove ashtray, pull off big dash trim straight off from the bottom first.

    4 screws holding stereo brackets in. Stereo screwed into brackets from the side

    thanks for the reply so is that the black trim that goes round the dash u mean ye. does it pull straight out or upwards , just want to make sure i dont brake the clips !!

    The trim pulls out pretty easy, and is fairly robust. 3clips up each side, pull from the bottom. it will bring the air vents with it. Disconnect the hazard light switch and clock and it's free. The space will take a double din size head unit too.
