Ford Focus Problem

    Hi folks
I have a 2005 Ford Focus 1.6TDci. Yesterday I came out to find the wipers and indicators going, even though I had keys in my hand. I turned on the ignition and everything stopped so I started the car and it drove no problem. It happened again as soon as I stopped the car and took the key out of the ignition.
The only thing I could do last night was to disconnect the battery when I parked up the car. I connected the battery this morning and drove to college and everything seems to be working ok now.
Any ideas what could have caused this please?

sounds to me as if someone tried to steal it...any signs of damage?
