I've been thinking about doing Judo on and off for the past while.

I have thought about BJJ aswell, but the class schedules at the clubs I found don't suit me.

I did a small bit of mma before in a different club, which mainly focus on the striking aspect (boxing, kickboxing). Although a lot of it was really daunting. I found some aspects really fun. Like throwing the punchbag or opponents over.

I also found that since you're using all of your body, you get a much bigger workout. Rather then kickboxing which focuses mainly on arms and legs and cardio in between.

Plus it's one of the Martial Arts that has been proven to be successful when tested in mma matches.

I'd like to know if the club is suitable for beginners if I were to buy a GI online?

Also do they do much sparring (I know there's another term for that in Judo) and is there the chance to progress in gradings for belt levels?

Totally suitable for beginners. Different levels train all the time. Donal is a fantastic teacher, very patient. There is sparring in every class but you dont have to if you dont want to.
