    The University of Limerick Computer Society is hosting its 3rd Skycon Conference on Computers & I.T.

    Skycon ’12 will focus on emerging areas in employment and technology including cloud computing, open source software, mobile development and game development, etc. It’s the unmissable conference for anyone in, or seeking to get into, Ireland’s booming tech sector.

    One of the keynote speakers is Randall Munroe , American webcomic author and former NASA roboticist as well as a programmer, best known as the creator of the webcomic xkcd - http://xkcd.com/1110/. Another speaker you won't want to miss hearing from is Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Ubuntu a popular free operating system for desktops and servers.

    The two-day event will feature guest speakers from cutting edge technology companies followed by debates. You will hear from people who are involved in game development in Ireland, HP, VM Ware, IBM, RedHat and many many more.

    The event is open to anyone who would like to attend and come along.
