DCU smartbook

Hey!

Can anyone reccomend this smartbook programme DCU has introduced. Need a new laptop and im staying well away from dell's so unsure what to get next. It's seems great that there is a month by month payment thing. Can anyone who has availed of the offer yet tell me more? Also, what size is the screen, couldn't see it on the website. Thanks

I havent bought it myself nor do I have any plan to do so. I have a PC and netbook at home, so it doesnt interest me.

My advice would be the same as for anybody buying ANY laptop. Have a look around. The price could be a large discount on what the usual price is. But do you really need a top of the range model for the course you are doing ?
Do you need the full 15" screen for your work ? ie could a netbook do the job ?

Shop around. Id say start at pixmania.ie I dont work for them
Just had a look there, and you can get a very good spec laptop for 400/500 euro.
True, you do get some software, but you could probs get Office student edition fairly cheaply. And a lot of decent security software is available for free online anyway
