POKER WEEKEND at Renvyle House Hotel

    Join us at the Renvyle House Hotel, Connemara, for our first-ever Poker Weekend, in conjunction with Shark Poker!

    This Weekend break, designed to cater to all levels of Poker players, is the perfect opportunity for regular players to introduce their partner or friends to the game!

    There will be a School of Poker for all levels, a Tournament with a €250 guaranteed first prize, and for the “serious” players, plenty of rake-free cash games. While the format of the weekend is geared towards having fun and socialising, the Poker event is professionally organised and run!

    Please note that this is not a stand-alone tournament but a relaxing break in one of Ireland's favourite stress-free destinations, with plenty of free outdoors activities in stunning scenery, award-winning gourmet food, and as much Poker as you can take!

    1. Who is running the event (organisation, society etc) – The Poker event is run by Shark Poker from Ballinasloe
    2. The purpose of the event (charity, commercial etc) – Commercial
    3. Date – November 16th and 17th, 2012
    4. Location – Renvyle House Hotel, Connemara
    5. Any guaranteed prize pool - €250 guaranteed top prize
    6. Registration and Start time of event – For the nature of the event and the location of the Hotel, at the moment we are not expecting to sell tickets separate to the accommodation package. However, if you are interested in playing the main Tournament without staying at the Hotel, please call us at 095/46100. The Event will kick off in the afternoon of Friday, November 16th, with a School of Poker (all levels). On Friday night there will probably be an extra Tournament, and Cash Games. The main Tournament will be held on Saturday.
    7. Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc) - Nope
    8. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc) – See above – tickets are sold as part of the accommodation package at the moment. To purchase only the tickets, please call us at 095/46100.
    9. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc) – Texas Hold’em No-Limit Freezout
    10. Cost of entry - €20
    11. How much of the entry fee is made up of registration fee – 0 €
    12. If a rebuy, cost of rebuys/top-up – N/A (not for the Main Tournament anyway)
    13. How many and what duration are rebuys available – N/A
    14. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into prize fund – 100%
    15. How many places being paid – Given the nature of the weekend (professional but also fun), I am keeping a high % of places paid. Final table (8-9 places) paid for 40-60 entrants.
    16. Is any money from the prize fund held back for future tournaments, if so, how much - NO
    17. Any tickets for future events given out as prizes. If so, how many – Not at the moment no
    18. Any additional prizes given out (merchandise etc) – There will be surprise extra prizes from the Hotel (winner + spot prizes)
    19. Starting chips -, 21. Blind levels -, 22. Blind timeframes – These will be decided at a later stage depending on no. of participants
    20. Rebuy and top-up chip amounts – N/A
    23. Are there going to be dealers and their level of skill – Yes. There will be experienced dealers for the final table(s), and for all side events (cash games, extra tournament, Poker School).
    24. Will there be a documented list of rules – Yes – Official International Rules
    25. Is there a tournament director – Yes – Sean Kenny of Shark Poker, Ballinasloe
    26. How are disputes handled ; who has final say – TD Sean Kenny, who is well experienced in organising Poker Tournaments, will be arbitrating any disputes arising in any event – whether run officially or spontaneously set-up by guests. There won’t be any though smile.gif
    27. Are there any cash games offered, if so, please outline the rake for each limit offered – Cash games will be run according to numbers and guests’ wishes. We will allow cash games tables to be set up spontaneously by guests, as long as they agree to be arbitrated by TD who will have final say. There will be no rake on cash games, even when a dealer is attending.
