    Hi,

Just looking for some advice. I will get a qualified construction worker to look at the house for me but i just want a ball-park figure of how much it will cost me to finish a house.

I have looked at one particular house. It is a new house (approx2-3 years) but has not been finished. It has all doors and windows. Radiators are all plumbed, all bathroom fittings are installed, central heating etc all plumbed, Flooring upstairs, stairs are in.

Basically no flooring downstairs, no kitchen, a little bit of cosmetic work to be completed due to grafitti and a little damage to walls upstairs and stair banister.

How much would you be talking to finish this building? It is a 4/5 bedrommed house all large rooms.

Any help greatly appreciated - located in west of ireland :)

the finishes are always relative to the standard you want.

assuming its around 2000 sq ft id estimate approx 16k upwards to finish to a basic standard. This would be all tiling, painting, flooring / carpeting, light fittings, etc

the kitchen alone could cost you upwards of 6K for a half decent one.

Sounds alright to me. Add extra for furnishings (wardrobes, tables, couches, curatins, rugs, paintings, TV etc.)
