Emberglow Housewarmer Gas Fire - not igniting

    Hi - I can't seem to get a definitive answer through google - so maybe someone might know here.

    We have the Emberglow Housewarmer gas fire - but it's not igniting (can manually light it by removing the front glass panel and sticking a match in). Read somewhere that you just need to replace the battery, but then found these instructions for the fire (which look like the right model), which say that there's no batteries required for the fire ignition

    The boiler ignites fine, it's just the fire that isn't igniting. Anyone able to help?
