    Hi I have long straight blonde hair and there is just no body or life in it anymore. I'll be going to hairdressers in 6 days and although they're nice on there they never really make suggestions. Just do my highlights and trim. Any ideas what I could do to give it a life again? After having 2 babies in 2 years I really haven't had much time to think of a style. So would love something new. Was thinking maybe a chunky side fringe any suggestions??? Can't upload photo of myself as I'm on my phone but u can imagine long blonde boring style, actually no style!:) thanks

    HI Lukesmom,

    I have long straight hair too and like you it had no body in it and even looked thin on top. Denis in Le chocolat in limerick was the first hairdresser to tell me what the problem was. It seems i have fine textured hair but lots of it so the weight was dragging down my hair and making it lifeless.

    He cut in short layers into my hair but kept my length. it means i have a layer that only reaches the top of ears at the back of my head and loads of other layers cut slightly longer each time. dunno if that makes sense to you.

    I also find that using dry shampoo gives my hair more volume.
