Does anybody know if I have to do the each theory and practical testsseperately for the C1 and D1 or will going straight for the D1 also give me the c1 too?

Also, anybody know what the total price might be for each of these, lessons, test, etc. How many hours would one need to put in before being competant to pass.

They're entirely seperate OP. You have to do 2 seperate theory tests/Paperwork. Price wise it really depends on how well you take to instruction.

When I did my C licence 2 years ago it cost me about €1300 with lessons/theory/CPC exams etc. It ain't cheap these days...

As Faith+1 said two totally different tests.

The bigger question is why you are doing C1 and D1? Not that many schools do C1 or D1. C & D is better for you in the long run and could be cheaper with more schools doing lessons.

Yep have to agree, it's a complete waste doing the D1 and C1.

Good point, I didnt realize they were better on first inspection. C & D it is so, or at least a C.

Reason Im thinking of getting them is because Im hoping to get into a Paramedic degree in the UK, and you require those to drive the ambulances.

A C1 will cover you for an Ambulance but I'd go for the C.

is there anywheare that does c1 and d1 lessons all i can seem to find is C and D alone : (
my logic here is a c1 is all i need and i am used to driving a van that is almost inside that class so i assume it would not take much to upskill as opposed to a C that i reckon (open to correction here) that would take a longer and more expensive time to get up to test standard
