New comedy starts tonight on BBC3 at 10.00pm (repeated another 8 times during the week)

Stars The Inbetweeners' Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale and former Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg.
At an airport in the Midlands, Suburban parents Ken (Greg Davies) and Lorna (Helen Baxendale) eagerly await the return of their only daughter, Rachel (Tamla Kari) from her gap year. Rachel however, has brought back an unexpected souvenir and surprises her doting parents by introducing her new husband, Cuckoo (Andy Samberg).

Ken and Lorna are horrified by their daughter’s news but, not wanting to ruin their daughter’s happiness, have no choice but to welcome Cuckoo into their family home. Cuckoo wastes no time making himself at home and it’s not long before he is sharing his new age ideas at the dinner table, and pushing Ken’s patience to the limit.

Gonna give this a watch tonight... big fan of both Davies and Samberg!

Broke the most-watched comedy on BBC3 record set by 'Bad Education' last month anyways.

Decent.. not LOL funny but has promise.

    Will stick with it.

I enjoyed it. I thought it had a few good lines in it.

I was always curious where Tyger Drew-Honey got his name from so I looked him up on wikipedia. I didn't know he had such interesting parentage.

    I'm quite liking this

Decided to give this a chance given how much I like the cast and must say its really good stuff. There's nothing that qualifies as laugh out loud here but it raises plenty if smiles and there's a lot of potential.

It really came into its own from episode 2 onward. So many great moments and a number of genuine laugh out loud moments.

Really enjoying this one, think that knowing a few people who look and act like Cuckoo makes it all the better. His whole thing about houses being free reminded me of a lot of misguided individuals who were involved in the Occupy Movement.

Connie's singing was brilliant, just a truly terrible and completely off key crime. Really one of the worst things I have ever had and all the funnier for it.

Caught up with this over the weekend.. it's fantastic!

The scenes between Greg Davies and Andy Samberg are always hilarious.

Hoping the Beeb commissioned another series..

.. was strange to see quite a high-profile actor like Andy Samberg starring in a comedy on BBC3.

    But it really works!

Twilight star Taylor Lautner joins BBC comedy Cuckoo

Andy Samburg, who played the unwanted son-in-law (Cuckoo), will not return for the second series.

There are no details yet about a transmission date for the new series.

    Samberg is great in this.

Won't be the same without Samberg, I thought Greg Davis and Sambergs relationship is what made the show.

How the hell is the show going to work without Samberg? Don't see them being able to keep the same level of enjoyment... Sure the name of the show doesn't even make sense anymore!

Of all actors to replace Samburg they choose Taylor Lautner

Samburg will be a big loss as title of the show, hopefully Davis can keep it going.

That trailer looks hideous.. it looks every bit as poor as I'd imagined!

The new Cuckoo is getting much less airtime, and the show seems to be mainly about Greg Davies' character now.

I like Greg Davies but the dynamic between him Andy Samberg was what made the show.

Helen Baxendale talking about the theme music from Friends last week was a nice throwback to when she was married to Ross!

I started watching this a few weeks back, saw an ad somewhere but started with season 1 which I thought was hilarious. I'd been meaning to look for a thread so thanks for the bump Skid :)

Greg Davies and Andy Samberg were a match made in heaven. This season has been better than I was actually expecting it to be, even if it's not quite as good.

Greg Davies is hilarious though and Tyger Drew-Honey is pretty good value too surprisingly enough. Taylor Lautner serves a purpose and does grand considering who he's following. It's very funny and generates a good number of actual laughs which is all you really want. Hopefully there'll be a 3rd season.

The weakest point is probably the parents of the other family. I agree the Helen Baxendale/Friends thing was a nice touch.

I have to say, Taylor Lautner has settled quite nicely into the role. I wasn't too sure at the start but he was great this week. Helen Baxendale is brilliant, Greg Davies is always brilliant and Tyger Drew Honey is great too. The daughter's fiancé is a great character. I'm really enjoying it.

I'm not all the way through the newest season, but the baby swap episode was hilarious.

Anyone know when the third season is arriving on Netflix Ireland?

Just watched the first two seasons on Netflix, initially just stuck it on as something for background noise but it was actually very funny. When I saw Taylor Lautner replaces Samberg for season 2 I was worried but I thought season 2 was a good bit better in the end and Lautner ain't a bad comedy actor at all. Looking forward to catching up with season 3 when it eventually gets to Netflix.

Hopefully it will be on BBC2 soon.

According to DigiGuide there is an episode of Cuckoo scheduled for BBC1 at 10.45pm on Monday 6th August.

There's no details given yet but I presume that it is the first episode of series 4.

I see that Andie MacDowell has joined the cast.

Kinda surprised it's back so soon, season 4 was very poor compared to the other ones, Greg Davies must be one of the busiest men in tv

Taylor Lautner left the series at the end of the 4th series.

Andie MacDowell is the new lead for the series. She plays Ivy, the sister Ken never knew he had.

I think Andie MacDowell is a good addition to Cuckoo. I enjoyed the first episode and I'm interested to see where the relationship between Ivy and Ken goes.

Yeah, they have cast it well. I thought they had good chemistry.

I thought the previous series might have been the last, not many series have changed their lead stars so often.
