Use factoring to solve the polynomial equation: 2X^3+4x^2-48x=0?
can't seem to get the right answer, it isn't x=0,x=-6, x=4. or 2x(x+6)(x-4)=0

Solution looks valid. What the "answer key"?

Is this an online thing? They can be fierce pernickety about how you write your answers, and often mark the correct solution as incorrect. Is there some provision for writing different satisfactory solutions, or is there just one answer box?

    is the equation 2*(x^3) + 4*(x^2) - 48x = 0

ie 2times Xcubed PLUS 4times Xsquared MINUS 48timesX EQUALS 0

If so, I have worked it out to be X = 4

    What about x=0?
