Neighbour is preparing to set winter cereals soon and was complaining of rabbits grazing on it over the winter. I said I'd ask here for tips on controlling them. Is shooting the only way? Just to add he has dogs (not much good at catching rabbits it seems) so leaving out poison not an option

    Thanks

Poisoning of rabbits is now illegal since it is a major hazard to non -target pets and protected wildlife. Your best bet is some lads with ferrets and nets. If you don't know anyone with ferrets you should post this in the hunting forum and you will get plenty of offers from lads to help out. See the link below

I can give you a hand
I have 3 good hunting ferrets and I also use Harris hawk for the rabbits also .22 rifle but if you want the rabbits gone or controlle to a decent amount then my ferrets will do the job
I use nets or use the hawk to chase the rabbits but nets will produce more rabbits as hawk wont catch em all
Where are you living? Pm me if you like
