Keeping mirrors droplet free?

Just wondering does anyone have any tips on how to keep wing mirrors from gathering droplets when it is raining?
I mean you expect a few but mine just get completely unusable during the rain. Is there something you can wipe on the to stop the rain beading and just drain away instead?
I've tried window washer stuff but so far no joy.

Most cars have heated mirrors these days, they should switch on with the rear window demister

Ha, such luxuries. I'm rolling in a 00 that was gifted to me because it was deemed to dangerous by the owners. I've fixed the death trap bit but the wing mirrors need clearing.

I though someone might have known a home remedy like, I dunno, lemon juice or something?
