Eurosport FTA

Hi,

Quick question,

Is it possible to get eurosport FTA from 19.2E, or any other sat position and if so, is all the commentary in German or can you change it to english.

It goes FTA from time to time on Hotbird with English audio but it usually doesn't last long.

I'm open to correction on this but I think I saw somewhere before that eurosport is free from 13e and with english commentary.

Im sure some of the regular posters will shed some light on it. What I read may not be, true now.

yep i think i saw this also

From what I've heard, the English commentary is FTA on 13°E but the video is encrypted. So in theory you could combine the FTA video from 19.2°E with the FTA audio from 13°E but it would be very awkward.

So is it Eurosport Germany that is only available to us? What about Eurosport 2? Is the German version the same as the English version with the same listings, only the language commentary different?

On Saturday it was reported that Eurosport went FTA on 13°E, not sure if it still is or not. 11642 H 27500 3/4

Only Eurosport Deustchland on 19.2e is permanently FTA. The schedule is mostly the same as Eurosport International (many versions on 13.0e), except for things like Handball or Ski Jumping, which they'll give priority to. The Version on Sky (UK & Ireland) is less similar again.

Thanks rurs. It's mostly the Tennis grand slams I'm interested in, so hopefully there won't be any Handball or Ski Jumping on then.

Eurosport Germany always shows the grand slams....You might also want to check out SuperTennis HD on 13deg east. FTA. iTALIAN

Excellent stuff!! Just wanted to make sure Eurosport Germany wouldn't give priority to an other important event, but I guess tennis grand slams are huge. Will check out SuperTennis HD too. What tournaments do they show?

Eurosport are in talks to get Wimbledon for the rest of Europe. Eurosport Germany give priority to German football thats about it. Infact most of Eurosport international breaks are german. ( they are covered in the UK with english ads)

Also Eurosport international two weeks ago had a issue with a pirate satellite feed which took there hot bird feed off air. I wouldn't expect it to be FTA for long.
