If there is an existing thread already please excuse as I was unable to locate.

This film flew beneath my radar and I only happened to see it with a friend last night. I have to say it blew me away. I had no idea what the film was about and going by the DVD cover it looks like a romantic flick - which it is, sort of.

It's wonderfully cut with images from global locations and the story and exploration of the human experience - perception in particular - is simply incredible.

Also, oddly, Glasgow looks great in this film. Makes a change from other portrayals where it's seen as a dark and dank place to live.

If anyone here is looking for an emotional thought provoking film I'd recommend this.

Saw it last night, it was really great. A friend had already told me the premise of the story, so I wasn't sure I wanted to watch something that sounded so bleak. In a way, it was actually quite an uplifting film. I had candles burning in the room and found myself sniffing and appreciating the nice scent. I think films like this that make you think about your life and how lucky you are are really great. Very well done, and Eva Green gave a brilliant performance.
