Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ok so im sure there is ALOT of questions about this but if anyone could help me out thanks in advance:) and please forgive me i will try to say the right names of things im a bit clueless!!

so i live in a duplex and each building has a communal Ariel and satellite. at the moment in the sitting room i have a free to air box (uk channels only i get rtes through analouge at the minute)which works fine as theres a satellite port in the wall, in my bed room i just have the analouge channels (rte1 rte2 tv3 tg4 bbc1 bbc2 c4 utv) connection in the bedroom only fits analogue wire and not one for satellite wire.

basicially is there a box i could buy that would give me saorview and uk freeview in one, would this soarsat work with the satellite i already have on the building, what kind of box could i get for the bedroom as there is no where to put satellite wire in the wall, i live in balbriggan so i am able to pick up bbc ect through the ariel so if i bought a regular saorview box for bedroom would it pick up bbc?? also does normal saorview box wire just go into the wall like the old pipe wire did?? i think thats all!!

For the sitting room, you could use a combination satellite/terrestrial receiver, such as the Triax TSC114 (Saorview approved) or Ferguson Ariva (not approved). There are others, both approved & non-approved. The non-approved boxes are considerably cheaper. Either that or a separate terrestrial receiver alongside your current satellite box. Most of the discussion on these combos takes place in the terrestrial forum.

A Saorview box will work with the standard definition UK channels. If you want the Freeview HD channels, you'll need a Freeview HD receiver & most of these seem to work fine with Saorview. There's a thread on one such here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=80772263

Saorsat is another matter altogether & isn't intended for areas where terrestrial reception is available. It wouldn't work with the dish system currently fitted to your building.
