This would make an epic Royal Rumble 2013

Here is what I think could make the Royal Rumble 2013 epic and also spare the Rock from having to compete at the Elimination Chamber.

Ok so, first off the Rock loses to CM Punk but in a really underhand/brutal way with a Lesnar appearance. I think a week or so before, the match will be turned into a no DQ match (ironically at the behest of the Rock) allowing for Brocks interference. And Brock will beat Rock so badly (or convincingly) that everyone will think Rock might actually be hurt for real. The reason I think this could happen is all because of Heyman. We know Lesnar and CM Punk both have allegiances to the guy so this could realistically happen.

Then in the Royal Rumble match itself Brock is the first out, clearing house till Cena appears. Then they duke it out while other people enter and get subsequently cleared by the two guys. Then Rock's music hits to the surprise and amazement of everyone as he comes out as the final participant (or near final).

The final three will be Cena, Lesnar and Rock. Cena will team up with Rock and get rid of Lesnar in an epic struggle. Brock will come out on top at first but will eventually be worn down and thrown out (or clotheslined or something). Which sets up the match very nicely. Now it's down to two guys. Rock and Cena. Just like Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, this is a rematch but in a different setting. But just like then (when Undertaker won both the WM and RR) the match will end with Rock winning after one heck of a final two. Thus he can end up avoiding the Elimination Chamber and heal up from his fake injuries and come back to face CM Punk at Wrestlemania.

As for Cena, this will set up the storyline where he challenges Undertakers streak. After a few more failed attempts to win back the title and as it looks like Cena won't even have a match, he will challenge Undertaker as a result.

As for Lesnar, it might be the time for Ryback to challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania to see who really is the powerhouse out of the two. Possibly Ryback and Lesnar have a face off at the RR and Ryback almost wins the day but is sent over the ropes which gets Ryback fuming and wanting revenge.

Then again every time I predict something when it comes to the WWE I'm usually way off. It would be pretty epic though if the above really did happen.

So this is my prediction card for Wrestlemania then

CM Punk v The Rock (for the WWE Championship)
The Undertaker v John Cena (for the Streak)
Brock Lesnar v Ryback (powerhouse v powerhouse)
Kane and Daniel Bryan v Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio v Kofi Kingston and R Truth v Prime Time Playas (for the tag titles)
The Miz v Cody Rhodes (for the intercontinental championship)
Zack Ryder v Dolph Ziggler (for the internet championship)
Sheamus v Randy Orton v Wade Barrett v Alberto del Rio (for the World Heavyweight Championship)
A celebrity v wrestler match (or match with celebrity involvement)
Beth Phoenix v Natalya v Tamina Snuka v AJ Lee (for the divas championship). Probably wishful thinking though but it'll probably end up as a diva battle royal for the title instead or between female wrestlers I don't really care about.

I was thinking myself that it would be really cool if the title was on the line for the rumble, like when Flair won it in 92.

It is though, The Rock is facing CM Punk for it at next years Royal Rumble.

In the actual rumble match, though. 30 men and a title up for grabs. I would find that much more exciting if it happened again.

Yeah the World Heavyweight Title is perfect for the match. As long as the commentators don't enter next year or Mick Foley I will be happy.

Next year it will be Tony Chimel and Lilian Garcia.

This might be a crazy question, but what do you think of my ideas for how the rumble could go? I did originate this thread after all. :p

Lesnar will only wrestle big names so no Ryback match.
Phoenix is wrapping up with wwe soon and the divas division is in the toilet waiting for the flush.
Miz vs Rhodes I could see if they turn one of them heel and that Tag Title match will happen eventually.
If Sheamus vs Del Rio were to EVER happen again for the title i'm posting the cornette face.
I think Taker vs Lesnar would be my choice but I fear we'll get Triple H vs Lesnar in a who wanted to see a rematch match.

Ok, you've commented on my WM prediction card but what about my rumble prediction?

Also, what else would Alberto be doing at the rumble if not in the WHC picture? And what else would the others be doing as well? It makes sense to have them in a fatal four way.

And who knows, Lesnar could face Ryback. It would definitely be the type of match I could see Vince wanting to happen.

Also, who knows as to Beth? She could have her last match at WM. Do we know when her contract is actually up?

I can see punk facing rock at the rumble alright just based on the last time Rock was there but i think Rock will either end up with Cena or Taker at mania. I can see Rock vs Taker due to them not being around too much...

In my opinion it looks like they could be heading towards a Lesnar v Punk angle, what with having Heyman involved

A great royal rumble would be one in which neither Rock, Cena or Lesnar stole the limelight. The Royal Rumble is the ultimate talent showcase and, I'm sorry, these 3 aren't it. Cena is the "face of the company" who farts sunshine for the rest of the year; the Rock is a carpetbagger who makes a mockery of the show whenever he feels like coming back; Lesnar - not far off - is a great showcase wrestler but a huge primadonna who doesn't deserve to take up an event like the Royal Rumble to further massage his ego.

The same rules should also apply to Wrestlemania. Having someone who isn't on the roster headline it was a terrible idea I think. The only time I have ever supported Cena was when he played the Rock at WM XXVIII. If the Rock could kindly decide whether he was committed to wrestling or movie-making that would be awesome.

If Vince/HHH could kindly work on producing great shows with the roster they have instead of crapping on everyone's careers by continuing to indulge the ego of Dwayne Johnson, that would also be awesome.

The Royal Rumble outlined in the OP would be depressing to watch.

Really? Depressing? That's a bit harsh. It would set up things quite nicely for Wrestlemania, I feel it makes a lot of sense and its something I would personally love to see.

As to Lesnar not fighting Ryback, it could be a case of HHH being in Rybacks corner (in a non wrestling capacity) with some sort of stipulation added in. Sort of akin to the McMahon v Trump; hair v hair match a few years ago. Ryback is being built as an unstoppable beast, so I could see HHH saying that he holds his hands up and says he knows that he can't beat Lesnar...but he knows who can....cue Rybacks music....:D

But the thing I can definitely see happening is Lesnar interfering in the Rock v CM Punk match. But what that leads to I'm not sure. And if Rock is to have or win the title at Wrestlemania then it makes sense him winning the Rumble as a surprise entrant. And a second face off with Cena could make for a classic rumble moment...with or without Lesnar entering as well. But if Lesnar were to be in the building, then it would be stupid not to have him as a surprise entrant into the Rumble as well. So if he is to interfere against the Rock, Rock could have his revenge that same night. I for one would mark the hell out if Cena, Lesnar and Rock were in the Rumble all at the same time. :p And the seed for Lesnar v Ryback could be planted then too, with a faceoff in the rumble. But it would be short enough for fans to want to see that match happen.

Why do you hate Mick Foley so much?

What I think might happen with the WWE title (which means I'm wrong):

Cena wins the rematch at Night of Champions or perhaps later if he doesn't heel in time.
Cena defeats Rock in the rematch at the Rumble.
Punk wins the title back at the Elimination Chamber.
Rock gets one more title shot (perhaps a Retirement match) against Punk at WrestleMania. Actually I'd like to see the Rock win that one as it would be unexpected and Punk (or someone else) win it back at the next PPV.

    Hate?
I just think he offers nothing as a wrestler and has done fu*k all the last what 5 years but stays reappearing.

I guess if it were up to me I'd have a programme that leads to Rock/Punk/Cena as the main event of WrestleMania and see Lesnar face The Undertaker. Hold off on Cena/Taker for WM30.

And I think Ryback vs Lesnar would be awful to watch.

Agreed, I don't think Ryback will be facing Brock Lesnar any time soon, or ever, for that matter. My prediction has been for months, that The Rock will go over on Punk at the Royal Rumble. John Cena will win the battle royal and Dwayne will return the favour then.

Sorry if you think its harsh, but I would be really annoyed if the Royal Rumble was an hour-long arcade match for the most over-exposed wrestler on the roster and the two most over-inflated egos who parachute in every now and again, making mince meat out of the WWE roster. These three will main event things at will.

I'm a Royal Rumble purest though, which basically means I think the winner should actually headline wrestlemania (not appear in a squash match at the beginning), the runner-up should NOT headline wrestlemania (for the last 5 or so years this has happened), that midcarders should get an opportunity to show off their talent during the match, and that people otherwise destined to be headlining wrestlemania and other ppvs anyway don't take that opportunity.

Sheamus was a good win this year but i would've preferred his match against DB to be higher up the card.

Unfortunately this rarely happens and I'm well aware that I'm going to be saying the same thing at Royal Rumble 75 - when Cyborg Rick Flair throws Hunter McMahon-Helmsley III over the top rope to get the win, only to then be released from the company a week later.
