    Not sure of the name of the fella roaring out that the football is coming down from the roof but what is the point of this and he was in Thurles again this year and was just roaring.

    Why have so many stewards in the right hand corner of the hill when tickets could be given to fans?

    As a neutral attending the game I have to say that both sets of fans were a credit to there counties.

    That was Paul Collins from Today FM Sport.

    Pretty sure the stewards weren't actually on the terrace part of the hill.

    Yes, but health and safety wouldn't allow it as they were on the walk ways.

    No, the OP is not talking about them on the walkways.
    There were some stewards on the walkways but there was also a big group of them in what looked like a separately contained section on the front bottom right-hand-side of the hill - where it meets the lower Cusack.

    Think this is what the OP is talking about;

    Not sure what the OP is referring to but the half time stuff on the TV was drowned out by a cat being stuck over the PA system. Was watching BBC NI and Burns and wee Martin were hardly audible over the screams of what turned out to be a reality TV wannabe. This was followed by the usual ads for a bankrupt bank and a supermarket. It is one thing being at home and able to turn it off or down, but its a bit much to pay 80 quid a ticket to be bombarded lke this IMO

    Agree totally. Over the last few years at (hurling) semi-finals and finals it is getting worse. I think most people at half time like to talk to their mates or whatever random stranger might be beside them about how the half has gone and do the "hurler on the ditch" expert analysis thing but the caterwauling that goes on you can't hear yourself think never mind talk to someone beside you!

    I hate those half time announcements and other crap that goes on. I would prefer to sit there and chat with my mates or watch the exhibition games. I have to say as bad as Croke Park is the Aviva is alot worse. The guy never shuts up there. :mad:

    I can never understand why the Scór winners aren't the half time entertainment on All Ireland day, not only would it be a great reward for winning the competition but it would also be supporting our own.

    Another option would be to delay the jubilee team until half time rather than before the game.

    Paul Collins is some orator. One of a kind. A truly unique voice.

    Anyone remember the year with Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh and Liam O'Connor I think it was either 2004 or 2006 as it was Kerry V Mayo, that was brilliant half time entertainment and real Irish tradition.

    No, you see you just don't fit into the corporate model for 'customers' in the 21st century. There is no money to be made from you talking to Tommy from Thurles or Kevin from Kilkenny about how the 1st half went.....much better you go to the concession stands and but a coffee/hot-dog/hang sanguage or what ever tickles your fancy......get with it man!!

    I can't stand him full stop. I just hope all Tipp people don't go on the same way... i.e. talk like pure muck savages. When he does his reports on today fm I just have to switch straight away.
