    Hi All,

Apologies if this issue has been dealt with before but I couldn't find any information on here.
Hopefully someone can help. As the title suggests, I'm wondering if it is possible to play the PS3 on-line using one of the dongles. Can you slot them into the USB slot?
Or would it not work with the PS3 because software needs to be installed first before it can be used etc.?

Looking at different options as currently don't have internet in my apartment and not sure roomates have any interest.

Appreciate any help you can give!

No....those dongles use Windows based software....but, i'm pretty sure there is a software/ plug n play version...

Pretty sure i've seen other types of dongles that act as modems even routers....dunno.

You could get a Huawei d100 unlocked or something similar for about 20 quid on ebay that does the job, plug your dongle in that and it gives you wifi, crappy, flakey wifi, but wifi that you can use with your PS3

You can share the connection with your laptop and PS3.

Had one connected for a year through the laptop with no problems. I got good speeds and was mainly playing Fifa and Cod online at the time.
