Buying games on Amazon

    I'm thinking of pre-ordering a game on Amazon, its to be released on Friday Nov 2nd.

    If I pre-order it on Amazon and choose priority shipping, will it arrive to me on the Friday?

    Has anyone experience of buying games from there?

    In my experience they do not ship until release day or the day before, although I've only ever pre-ordered a handful of titles with them. You might get it on release day with priority shipping, but I wouldn't count on it. An Irish site like gamesnash or gamestop might be a better bet if you really, really need the game on release date.

    It probably will be on gamenash, but not till closer to release date. I think they're the best bet to get it a day early too

    Got Metal Gear solid from them a day early a few years back which was the job! Will give them a go if they have it available for pre-order.

    I had the Skylanders giants booster pack for PS3 preordered....it's due to be released tomorrow and they've dispatched it today by UPS....I had chosen free super saver delivery so I don't know why they upgraded my shipping option especially because I paid nothing for shipping and UPS shipping costs over £20 but i'm not complaining!

    For the first time I am getting two games on Amazon.co.uk instead of buying them locally, Assassins Creed and Medal of Honor. Its a lot cheaper on Amazon and I can wait the extra few days in the post instead of paying that bit extra with XtraVision. I would recommend Amazon for anyone
