ECCE Scheme: Switching pre-school

Our child started pre-school under the ECCE scheme a few weeks back. We went with one that was near us, that we'd heard favourable reports of but the other half is not happy with it at all and wants to change if possible.

How exactly does the ECCE scheme work? As I understand it, and I may be wrong, the pre-school gets paid at the beginning of each 'term' to for providing a child with a place. What happens if the child stops attending (we're pretty close to that point now, she is that unimpressed)?

If payments are made 'termly' I would guess it's only possible to change prior to the start of the next term (January???)

You can transfer. Find a place in a new school for your child and the new school will organise some transfer forms for you to sign.
