By any chance could that mean some very old seeds that have been buried under the ice could come to life meaning some once extinct trees will be back again?

there have been lots of ice ages , hippos in the Thames wasn't all that long ago so would only be comparability recent seeds,

3 million years ago Antarctica had forests.
