Anyone know where this is transmitted from? It was the Today FM freq. at Monaghan until recently, but all I can tune now is Clermont Carn on 105.5 & Truskmore on 100.00. Monaghan still seems to have Lyric on 98.5.

Any chance it's just a rebroadcast receiver with the frequency changed by accident?

I see no reason for Lyric FM to be on 100.7 if it's already on 98.5.

Thought it might have been some kind of 'oversight' myself, but how could something like that happen without being noticed?

Having said that, TG4 analogue disappeared from the same transmitter over 2 months ago, seemingly without explanation from RTENL, or complaint from viewers.

One of the things I thought about TG4 from the Monaghan TX was, would people bother putting up an aerial just to receive TG4 from Monaghan?

    Most people would already have:

    VHF Band III for RTE1/2
UHF pointed towards North for BBC/ITV
UHF pointed at Clermont for TV3

Surely most people would get TG4 on the TV3 from Claremont aerial or they would just have one aerial pointed at CC?

Would be a lot of bother to put up a 4th aerial for one service.

Might be worth calling or e-mailing RTÉNL about it. Does 1850 584 584 still work?

Where I am, the only decent analogue signal (from south of the border) is RTE on band III from Monaghan. TG4 from there was pretty poor, but the best I could get from Clermont was no better.

I emailed them about TG4 & got no reply. Calling them would be a better idea: they sorted out an earlier problem with RTE2 pretty sharpish (& around Christmas too iirc).

Lyric is advertised as "96-99 FM", so it would seem that it has somehow managed to hijack Today FM's frequency. Does nobody/nothing monitor the output of these stations (apart from the listeners)?

Seems to be sorted now, with Today FM back on 100.7
